Avant-Drag follows ten drag artists in Athens who defy gender norms and challenge oppressive social structures. Through powerful performances, they reclaim public space, resist invisibility, and shape a uniquely Greek queer identity marked by history, politics, and state violence. “The ghosts of queer history do our makeup,” says one, as the film weaves protest with poetry, rage with tenderness.
